Keeping your account safe.

A few simple rules keep your loan, your bank account and your identity safe, whether you apply alone or with an agent.

Never share these

  • Your OTPOne-time codes arrive on your phone and are entered by you, on your own device. Nobody genuine needs you to read one out.
  • Your PIN or passwordsEMIs are repaid by auto-debit. No one needs your UPI or card PIN, or your netbanking password, to help you apply.
  • CashThe loan goes only to your verified bank account. Nobody collects or delivers money by hand.

Applying with an agent

Authorised agents help you through the same digital application, on your own phone, with the same terms shown before you accept.

  • You tap, type and consent on your own phone. The agent guides.
  • No agent should ask for cash, your OTP or your PIN.
  • No agent can promise approval, an amount or a rate. Your offer decides.
  • Not sure about an agent? Check with support on WhatsApp before you share anything.

Signs something is wrong

  • Someone asks you to pay money up front, by hand or to a personal account, to get a loan approved or released.
  • A caller or message asks for an OTP, PIN, password or CVV.
  • You are rushed: an offer that expires in minutes, or pressure to sign before you read the Key Fact Statement.
  • You are asked to install a screen-sharing or remote-access app.
  • A link or app that looks like ours but is not on trustlender.in or Google Play.

If something feels wrong

  1. Stop. Do not share the code, PIN or money that was asked for.
  2. Talk to TrustLender support first: WhatsApp, email, or request a call back.
  3. If money has already left your account, call your bank straight away to block further debits.
  4. Report cyber fraud on the national helpline 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.
